Environmental Compliance

Responsibility is one of our core values, and one way we demonstrate this is through our commitment to 100% compliance with local, regional and national environmental laws and regulations.

Maintaining compliance demonstrates to our stakeholders that we are respectful of the law and the permits that have been established to preserve the natural environment we all share and ensures our ongoing license to operate. 

Our systematic approach to environmental compliance strengthened our performance in 2021 by reducing the number of environmental non-conformances (ENCs) by 9% compared to 2020. Acting on our commitment to continuous improvement, no environmental fines were incurred, and seven corporate SH&E audits were conducted at various sites. Our Wuhai, China fumed metal oxide plant completed RC14001 certification, contributing to progress on our 2025 goal.
